Adding to my Holiday Wardrobe with Femme Luxe Finery*

Autumn has officially begun now we’ve come into October and I am already living for the frosty, misty weather and autumn sunshine. It’s my favourite season but, that being said, I haven’t had a proper summer holiday this year. The buzz of the airport early in the morning, settling into the hotel room, exploring the nearby beaches, cafes and restaurants, and chilling next to the pool with a Fanta Lemon.

It’s a good job I’ve got a week in Majorca coming up this month! Lucky me! So when Femme Luxe Finery approached me for another collaboration, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to expand my holiday wardrobe.

The first outfit I selected was the ‘Harlee’ White Halterneck Bralette and Shorts Co-Ord.

(Excuse the mirror pics and the nude bra straps, I didn’t have my personal photographer with me this time!)

It consists of a pair of white high-waisted loose shorts and a halter-neck bustier-style top with a tie-up detail at the front. It retails for £37.98/

It’s such a cute little outfit and also very comfortable. There is plenty of stretch to the waistband of the shorts and the back of the top, and the material is super soft, almost cheesecloth so it also gives a kind of boho vibe. It’s a little see-through so you’ll need nude undies, but to be honest, that’s to be expected with anything white. It reminds me of a 1950s style swimming cozzie and I feel proper cute wearing it.

The second item I chose was the ‘Mila’ Blue Denim Button Through Shirt Dress.

Sorry for the creases, I don’t currently have an iron that works!

It is a thin denim-style shirt dress with silver buttons down the middle and a tie to cinch it in at the waist. It retails for £35.98.

I was hoping for a thicker denim and a slightly longer dress in all honesty, but I am happy with what I received. It’s a lot more versatile than I thought it would be. The material is comfortable and lightweight, so it’s easy to wear as a standalone dress or as an extra layer on top of an another outfit like I have. I much prefer this way for summer, but in colder weather it will also be great with leggings, boots and a chunky cardigan. You can also add your own belt as it comes with belt-loops too.

I also love tying up my shirts like this as I think it looks great with high-waisted jeans or skirts, and luckily this one also looks great worn this way as the length means there is plenty of extra material to form the knot.

Overall, it’s a really versatile piece that I will get a lot of wear out of throughout the year.

Which piece is your favourite?
