I don’t think I have laid eyes on an eyeshadow palette that visually mirrors its name so perfectly, as MUA Luxe’s Enchanted palette. With its luxuriously rippled surface and five dreamy shades, it’s like something straight from a fairytale.
I ordered mine from Superdrug for £6.00, and even though it was slightly smaller than I was expecting, it’s proving to be worth every penny. It came packaged in a pretty white box with gold-embossed text, while the palette itself is simple, black and glossy with a gold MUA Luxe logo on the front.
It’s so beautiful on the inside. All five shades blend seamlessly into one another in the same pan, reflected in the full size mirror. There are two pretty similar warm-toned shimmery champagne shades, next to a matte dusky rose, followed by a shimmery violet and the most gorgeous deep copper tone. Seriously, LOOK HOW PRETTY.
All you have to do is run your finger across the pan to feel how soft the shades are; you might even be able to see the dent in the copper shade from my fingernail as I was opening the palette for the first time! The pan literally feels like silk under your fingertips.
The fact that there’s so much give to the pan does mean that there is quite a bit of fallout, but the upside is that the brush picks up an extraordinary amount of product! They swatch so well and blend so beautifully on your eyelid, and they lasted a whole eight hour shift on my eyes today at work in hot, sweaty, kitcheny conditions!
It’s like no other palette I own, and I own a lot of palettes. It’s so pretty and versatile but special and lovely, and I can’t believe the folks at MUA are only asking £6 for it. I’ll be snapping up the similar Enrapture palette as soon as I can!
